The American Islamic Center of Florida is devoted to promoting Islam, its beliefs and practice, and its way of life through education, outreach, and religious activities.
With the will of Allah [swt] and the dedicated efforts of His servants, it is the belief of the Center that everyone will have a clear and beautiful picture of Islam. May the blessed message of Islam reach every individual, and may Allah [swt] guide all the people of the world to His straight path.
The Muslim community in South Florida had grown large, and for a long time people desired to have a learned religious leader serve them and educate their youth. In 2003, the Muslims of South Florida had their desire realized as the honorable Sayyed Jawad Qazwini established the Florida Islamic Education Center of Boca Raton. For many years the Sayyed prayed and preached sermons with the Muslim community, which eventually grew into Al-Huda Islamic Center. In this time period, the Center was graced with a new religious leader, the venerable Sheikh Hassan Habhab. With a profound dedication, the wise and inspired Shekh helped to move the Center forward—eventually leaving its guidance in the hands of his exceptionally knowledgeable friend, Imam Mohamad Al-Ali (Al-Halabi). Having Imam Al-Halabi’s wisdom and instruction was a true blessing for the Center, which in 2010 was consummated into the American Islamic Center of Florida.
The American Islamic Center of Florida in Boca Raton gives Muslims an opportunity to benefit from a mix of religious practices, ethics, social events and tradition, all with a common sense approach. The Imam, since his auspicious arrival, has ignited the community's movement and through his benevolence has brought everyone closer together.
